Why it matters

Placement is the beginning. The first year decides what comes next.

An agency's work is to find the right American high school. Once the student arrives, a new set of decisions begins: which courses to take and at what level, which exams to plan for and which activities to join. Every one of them appears on the student's university application three or four years later.

Nova Start guides the student through those decisions from the first weeks of school. Families see their child supported in a new country, and the placement you made becomes the start of a strong American education.

Your agency keeps doing what it does best. Once the student arrives, Nova works alongside your agency and the school, and the relationship continues all the way to university.

What partners ask us.

Which countries do you work with?

Nova works with partners in any country. All student guidance is delivered in English, and our team in Beijing supports partners in China.

How does commission work?

Partners earn commission on clients they share with Nova. The terms are set out in the partner agreement, and we go through them on our first call.

What does the partnership cost our agency?

Nothing up front. Your agency pays Nova only for students who enroll in Nova Start, and sets its own price for families. We go through the full terms after our first call.

What does Nova Start cover?

Settling into an American high school, course and level choices, an exam plan, and the first activities, clubs and internships, with scheduled calls through the student's first year. See how it compares with our other programs on the programs page.

Can students continue with Nova after the first year?

Yes. Students can continue with Nova Build through 11th grade and Nova Apply in 12th grade, or join Nova Complete for the full path.

Can Nova work with students who are not yet in America?

Yes. Nova Build, Nova Apply and Nova Complete are delivered online, so your students can work with Nova from any country.

Do you work with exchange students?

Nova Start is designed for students enrolled at an American high school for their full course of study. Nova does not work with exchange programs.
